St Andrews Ball 2025
November 22, 2025
This year’s St Andrew’s Day Ball was a truly special celebration of Scottish culture and community in Singapore, made even more memorable by the inclusion of the final leg of the King’s Baton Relay in Singapore, ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
SSAS members and guests gathered for an unforgettable evening of tradition, music and dancing, including a poignant moment as the King’s Baton was formally welcomed into the ballroom, followed by a stirring rendition of Caledonia by our very own Chieftain Yvonne Rankin Constantine. The Baton’s presence symbolised the enduring connections between Scotland, Singapore and the wider Commonwealth, adding a unique sense of history and occasion to the night.
Of course, we also enjoyed the iconic Address to the Haggis from our Chieftain; a stunning pipes and drums performance by Yvonne Tan and the Merlion Pipes & Drums, not to mention the ceilidh, which went into the wee hours.
Who’s joining us next year?
